ECHO STATE

DESIGN PRINCIPLES | PUBLICATION DESIGN | WEB DESIGN

Echo State is a contemporary print magazine exploring the intersection of music, emotion, identity, and visual culture. Focused on emerging artists like Latin Mafia and Humbe, the magazine highlights themes of vulnerability, mental health, and genre experimentation through immersive editorial storytelling and atmospheric design. Combining long-form writing with cinematic visuals, ECHO STATE captures the energy and emotional depth of a new generation of creative expression.

Echo State balances clarity and texture, creating a space for both reading and reflection. Layouts use expansive white space alongside grain overlays, blurred photography, and subtle typographic variations to create an editorial rhythm that mirrors the energy of emerging culture. The color palette includes metallic grays, wine red, and black which supports a cohesive aesthetic that can adapt to music, art, and visual features while maintaining a strong, recognizable identity. Every issue is designed to feel intentional and deliberate, encouraging readers to slow down, engage, and experience the content fully.
