LYRICAL ANIMATION

The song “Maria La Curandera” by Natalia Lafourcade tells a story rooted in healing, tradition, and feminine strength, celebrating the figure of la curandera, or healer, as a symbol of cultural and spiritual resilience. My animation reimagines these themes through a scrapbook-style collage, using layered textures, cutouts, and hand-crafted motion to evoke a tactile, storytelling feel. The goal was to visually echo the song’s warmth, rhythm, and connection to heritage and emphasize certain lyrics.
